Key Responsibilities: Clinical Care and Compliance

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you play a vital role in executing the resident care plan and ensuring clinical accuracy. Your responsibilities include:

  • Medication Management: Accurately and safely administer medication to residents in strict accordance with their care plan and physician orders.
  • Treatment Execution: Perform treatments, as assigned per physician’s orders, within your professional scope of practice and facility policy.
  • Observation and Reporting: Accurately report and record the resident’s condition and care, including signs and symptoms which may be indicative of a critical change in status, to the Registered Nurse or Supervising Physician promptly.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Perform all duties in strict accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines to ensure quality care and compliance.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a group, while also being capable of exercising independent judgment and action when necessary.
  • Support Duties: Fulfill other clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the Unit Manager, Director of Nursing (DON), and Administrator.

Qualifications

  • License: Must have an Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Wisconsin, in good standing.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to work independently or as an effective part of a group. Strong clinical observation and communication skills are essential.
  • Technology: Basic computer knowledge for documentation and record keeping is required.
  • Experience: Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is preferred but not required. We welcome dedicated individuals ready to learn and grow!
